While all of us here in San Francisco were pausing to reflect on the passing of Bill Walsh, the former head coach of the 49ers and one of the most successful coaches in the history of the NFL, up steps Barry Bonds last night to mark his place in history.
Even with all the hoopla of Bonds breaking Hank Aaron’s career home run record*, I still have much Revenue business to concentrate on. We have a couple ad placements available in the upcoming September/October issue and we can still squeeze you in. Follow up with our advertising sales team this week to secure your ad placement in the biggest issue of the year. The ad creative deadline for this issue is August 15.

I’m back from the Miami tropics and the SF fog has never felt finer.
I was over the top and all consumed by the work, heat and activities revolving around the Affiliate Summit East conference in Miami. There was a great turnout for the event and a steady stream of booth traffic. It was great to catch up with our partners and meet everyone that stopped by the Revenue booth to learn more about how to participate and share their thoughts about the magazine. We signed up lots of new subscriptions and had fun with the live booth video streaming.

I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Fourth of July holiday. Out here in San Francisco we had unheard of record blazing temps soaring into the 90’s which made it a perfect day for beach and BBQ. And fireworks could be seen for miles as our notorious summer fog failed to make its usual unceremonious appearance on Independence Day.

The 2007 LinkShare Symposium and Golden Link Awards are all wrapped up. After a two day whirlwind of conference networking and festivities I’m getting back to you while before I depart NYC and head back home to the SF. The event was first class in every sense and everyone here at Revenue was honored to be nominated for the Performance Marketing Most Vocal Advocate award.
I cannot say enough praises about the tireless commitment and passion that our leader and Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Picarille and her team of writers and designers put into developing the content of the magazine. It was wonderful to see their hard work recognized by the industry in a category that is completely aligned with the mission of Revenue. Congratulations to AffiliateFairPlay.com for winning the award and to Eric Ewe from Wyndham Vacations who was also nominated in this category.

Here we go with some buzzer shots for the week. People are still talking about the last minute of The Sopranos and the last minute of Game 3 in the NBA Finals.
These are two compelling stories, but just slightly less important than your last minute ad placement in the July/August edition of Revenue. Contact our advertising team for more information. The ad creative deadline for the July/August issue is June 22 and this edition of the magazine be distributed at conferences such as: Ad:Tech, Search Engine Strategies, e-Tail, DoubleClick Performics Client Summit, and ClickZ: Online Video Advertising.

That’s the catchy title billing of the American Idol season finale that aired on Tuesday night. I must say I had the third place contestant, Melinda Doolittle winning this year but will settle for Jordin “the singer” vs. Blake “the performer”.
Speaking of singers and beatboxers, did you know that you could enhance your ad placements in the digital edition of Revenue with rich media audio and video files? Yes you can. Contact our advertising team to learn more about advertising opportunities in the upcoming July/August 2007 issue.
