Revenue’s Tricks and Treats

Boo! Sorry to spook you like that. I probably scared you after taking a little time off from blogging to regroup and get ready for the holidays. The Revenue Halloween costume award this year goes to Eduardo Fenili, our new Account Manager, who came with the serious throw back costume and busted out as the 80’s pop icon Pee Wee Herman.

We are in a time warp and are fast forwarding to securing ad placements for the January/February 2008 issue. If you are in the middle of working out your 2008 marketing and advertising plans we would like to hear from you to discuss the different advertising opportunities in the magazine, website and e-mail newsletter. Who Called the Police?

I’m back from the Miami tropics and the SF fog has never felt finer.

I was over the top and all consumed by the work, heat and activities revolving around the Affiliate Summit East conference in Miami. There was a great turnout for the event and a steady stream of booth traffic. It was great to catch up with our partners and meet everyone that stopped by the Revenue booth to learn more about how to participate and share their thoughts about the magazine. We signed up lots of new subscriptions and had fun with the live booth video streaming.

Move Over Don Johnson

I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Fourth of July holiday. Out here in San Francisco we had unheard of record blazing temps soaring into the 90’s which made it a perfect day for beach and BBQ. And fireworks could be seen for miles as our notorious summer fog failed to make its usual unceremonious appearance on Independence Day.

There’s no rest for the weary this week as I returned to SF after making the rounds in New York last week. Currently Revenue is preparing to go to press with July/August issue so all hands are on deck as we go through the production drill.

The 2007 LinkShare Symposium and Golden Link Awards are all wrapped up. After a two day whirlwind of conference networking and festivities I’m getting back to you while before I depart NYC and head back home to the SF. The event was first class in every sense and everyone here at Revenue was honored to be nominated for the Performance Marketing Most Vocal Advocate award.

I cannot say enough praises about the tireless commitment and passion that our leader and Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Picarille and her team of writers and designers put into developing the content of the magazine. It was wonderful to see their hard work recognized by the industry in a category that is completely aligned with the mission of Revenue. The Singer vs. The Performer

That’s the catchy title billing of the American Idol season finale that aired on Tuesday night. I must say I had the third place contestant, Melinda Doolittle winning this year but will settle for Jordin “the singer” vs. Blake “the performer”.

The Cinderella Theory

After riding high for several weeks of action packed fun and excitement following the Golden State Warriors and their run through the NBA playoffs, this Cinderella story finally came to a close last night in Salt Lake City. Cry not for me as the Warriors far exceeded expectations this year and like they say in Vegas we were playing with house money.

Spring Into Action

March 21st, 2007

The Vernal Equinox has kicked in which should do something to help balance out things out, but that’s up for debate.

I’ve been banging out the chat and slinging those v-cards as the eComXpo kicked off yesterday with another big virtual splash. The Revenue booth had a steady stream of traffic with all kinds of folks coming by to check out what’s new with the magazine, our website and newsletter and without a doubt to win a prize. The Revenue staff will also be there all day today and Thursday to close out the show.
