Doing the Ad:Tech NY Boogie

November 7th, 2007

This week’s post comes from Ad:Tech New York, where the interactive and performance marketing industry has congregated for a week of education, networking and frolicking about in The Big Apple.

Day 1 kicked off on Monday with the opening of the Exhibit Hall featuring over 500 companies with extravagant booths, attention-grabbing props and fun giveaways that ranged from autographed guitars to iPhones to branded schwag. Conference goers filled their goodie bags and made the rounds through a maze of three floors while schmoozing with exhibitors.

Revenue’s Tricks and Treats

October 31st, 2007

Boo! Sorry to spook you like that. I probably scared you after taking a little time off from blogging to regroup and get ready for the holidays. The Revenue Halloween costume award this year goes to Eduardo Fenili, our new Account Manager, who came with the serious throw back costume and busted out as the 80’s pop icon Pee Wee Herman.

We are in a time warp and are fast forwarding to securing ad placements for the January/February 2008 issue. If you are in the middle of working out your 2008 marketing and advertising plans we would like to hear from you to discuss the different advertising opportunities in the magazine, website and e-mail newsletter. Our 2008 Media Kit is currently available by request.

I Spy

September 19th, 2007

In sports, the talk this week has been all about cloak and dagger espionage and illegal sign stealing by the Patriots, the best team in the NFL. It is yet another representation of the things teams, companies and people do to gain an advantage.

For the readers of Revenue spying is not focused on corporate espionage, but relates to businesses that use or sell spyware and adware products and how that impacts online marketing. We are doing our best to maintain best practices that don’t condone that kind of unethical behavior.

A Bounty of Print Advertising

August 30th, 2007

The final week of summer is upon us and I imagine lots of folks are squeezing in one last chance for vacation before we get ready for the fall and holiday season.

Coincidentally, this time of year of also happens to be prime time advertising season. Many advertisers are launching ad campaigns across the board in magazines, on the web, TV and radio that tie in with the back to school season, fall fashion and the looming of the holiday shopping season.

Stepping up to the Plate

August 8th, 2007

While all of us here in San Francisco were pausing to reflect on the passing of Bill Walsh, the former head coach of the 49ers and one of the most successful coaches in the history of the NFL, up steps Barry Bonds last night to mark his place in history.

Even with all the hoopla of Bonds breaking Hank Aaron’s career home run record*, I still have much Revenue business to concentrate on. We have a couple ad placements available in the upcoming September/October issue and we can still squeeze you in. Follow up with our advertising sales team this week to secure your ad placement in the biggest issue of the year. The ad creative deadline for this issue is August 15.
