Revenue to Launch Social Media Supplement

There is a lot going on this week as we are working fast and furious on the upcoming the January/February 2008 edition of the magazine.

Here on the advertising side we have some exciting new announcements that are coming up in 2008. Starting with the January/February issue Revenue will publish six advertising supplements and buyer’s guides for 2008.

Supplements are a highly effective way to showcase market trends, key players, new technology developments and companies worth watching. They are important opportunities for advertisers to reach their target market in a contextual editorial environment.

Each of these supplements appears within the magazine as a special section. They are also overprinted, stapled and made available to advertisers for use as sales collateral. Distribution includes subscriber copies, newsstand sales, trade shows and conferences as well as overprints,

2008 Supplement Schedule & Topical Focus:

January/February – Leveraging Social Media & Networking
March/April - Web Analytics
May/June - Campaign Management Tools
July/August - SEM/SEO
September/October - Advertising Networks
November/December – Web Tools and Utilities

The January/February 2008 - Leveraging Social Media & Networking supplement is aimed at providing brand marketers with strategies for leveraging social media in their marketing plans. Each article will focus on the tremendous opportunity to reach more potential customers and extend a brand in unprecedented directions. The stories will also highlight the specific challenges facing marketers, how to measure the effectiveness of new media, planning an advertising budget in a confused digital marketplace, and determining the ROI of Internet initiatives.

The main themes of the January/February supplement include: user generated content; corporate blogging; an overview of social media; Web 2.0 technologies; and viral marketing.

The ad closing deadline for the debut Social Media supplement is November 30, 2007; the ad creative deadline is December 7.
