Today is Good Friday and so far the day has lived up to its name. If for nothing else than I’m only hours away from it being the weekend.
Truthfully, the reason that it’s been such a good day for me is that I’m spending lots of time playing with my new ASUS eee PC. Shawn Collins may be touting the value of his Vostro but I love, love, love my new tiny little laptop.
I first heard of the Asus eee PC from Sam Harrelson. He’s had one for a while and is always boasting about its merits. He wasn’t wrong. I decided right after returning home from the Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas that my aching back, neck and shoulders could no longer lug around my gigantic Dell laptop. Sure the big screen and all the bells and whistles are great, but the weight was killing me.
Affiliate Summit co-founder Missy Ward is waiting for Asus eee to arrive in the mail anyday. So there is a growing army of Asus lovers in the affiliate community.
Lately, I’ve been dreading all the business travel, but now i can’t wait to hit the road or at least take it down the street when Ad:Tech comes to San Francisco next month.

The eee pc is a good thin client device, esp if you’re in a wifi zone when you’re mobile.
I don’t have one yet, and will probably look into it, once i get over the fact that it costs about the same as a no-frills desktop.
Just wondering, aside from twitter, email and light surfing, are there any ‘killer apps’ for you in your usage, Lisa?
