Again, I feel hopelessly behind. I’ve let the blogging slide in favor of my obsession with Twitter and Facebook. Plus, I spent most of the week at Search Engine Strategies in San Jose. That means this entry will be another fabulous compilation of what’s been happening around the industry and in my little world.

About “Online Ads Not Working” and how ads are viewed. Available technology makes it possible for ad servers to track whether an ad below the scroll line has been seen or not seen (whether or not the person scrolled down). To increase the CPM value of ads below the scroll line, publishers should consider using ad serving technology that enables them to charge for ads seen. It’s the next step forward. Will someone take it? It’s a small idea with a big benefit.
