Online Marketing Goes to the Dogs

By Lisa Picarille

April 19th, 2007

It seems like everyone I know has a canine pal. At the Web 2.0 Expo several of my lunch companions whipped out their laptops and started showing pics of their pups when the doggie discussion started. So, I’d like to show off to everyone my best pal – Cassie. She’s 14 years young and we rescued her more than four years ago.

Cassie the Wonder Dog

Name: Cassie (also answers to Sassy or Sassy Pants)
Age: 14
Sex: Female
Favorite Food: Cheese and anything gross and disgusting that is lying around near the curb
Favorite Toy: Balls, balls and more balls
Best Trick: Looking adorable
Cassie’s thoughts about online marketing: Google’s purchase of DoubleClick was nearly as big as the dog food recall or having my belly rubbed - almost. Woof!

If you’d like Revenue to feature your dog in this blog (or maybe in our monthly newsletter) email me (lisap@revenuetoday.com) a photo of your precious pooch and include the following information about your dog: name, age, sex, favorite food, favorite toy, best trick, and your dog’s insights about online marketing.

I’ll do my best to post one puppy portrait each week – on Wednesday, since fittingly, that’s hump day.

Nice pooch. I’m on the dog team, and I know Sam Harrelson from Cost Per News has a couple pups.

Is there a pattern here… are affiliate marketers generally dog people?

If so, are SEMs the cat people?

Shawn, I’ve seen your affiliate “cribs” video and to me it looks like Mickey is the power behind the throne at Casa de Collins.

[…] As promised, here is another online marketer that loves dogs. Affiliate marketer Mark Davidson of Oaxaca, Mexico wanted to show off the canine cutie (with two reconstructed knees) that helps keep him on track. She’s adorable. Plus she looks sort of like my dog, Cassie. […]

Sassie is very cute. You may wish to post her photo on Pimms and Friends Photo Gallery

that was launched at the end of Janurary 2007. Pimms, with a little help from his owner, just launched the Blog 2 short weeks ago and to date is more worried about the Pet Food Recall than the fact that he is having problems with the date changing on the comments and the Feedburner has a mind of its own.
