Feel The Love

Isn’t it great when partnerships and relationships flourish?

This industry is all about creating connections that are mutually beneficial to all of those involved. Whether it’s merchants hooking up with great affiliates or affiliates serving the specific needs of their customers, it’s all about relationships.

I’ve been thinking a lot about who partners with whom and for what reasons.

Those thoughts were intensified today when two different co-workers shared marital news. My male work buddy was regaling me with tales about picking out pricey wedding suits, spending evenings with his beloved making thousands of origami crane centerpieces and all the special details that are going into his August nuptials.

Meanwhile, a female cube pal announced to our entire office (via email) that she and her fabulous boyfriend ran off over the weekend to get hitched. It sounded romantic, fun and joyous. In the photo I saw they were beaming and looked gorgeously, deliriously happy.

Both couples are fantastic and deserve to be bathed in wed bliss and a lifetime of happiness

Oh, don’t worry I haven’t gone all soft on you. It’s not like I’m about to rent The Notebook or anything like that. I’m still the cranky pants that you’ve come to love and adore.

And speaking of partnerships, Revenue has teamed up with Zinio to deliver a digital version of our fabulous magazine.

I also wanted to let you know about two new columnists that will be joining the Revenue magazine family. First, I’d like to extend a hardy welcome to Rosalind Gardner. She literally wrote the book on being a super affiliate. She’ll be writing our Affiliate’s Corner column. This will be her space to bring you her expert insight. She knows the affiliate space inside and out. We expect you’ll benefit from her tips and tricks as well as her hard-earned wisdom.

Our other new columnist is The Spider. Although he’s hardly a modest fellow, he prefers that I keep his past under wraps. He likes to keep a low profile so as not to jeopardize his insider ties with the affiliate and online marketing community. What I can tell you is that he’s got a taste for expensive liquor and penchant for illegal cigars. He delivers the juiciest gossip, picks up on the most interesting rumors and ferrets out all the latest affiliate and performance marketing dirt.

You can send love his way in the form of interesting tips or things you’re hearing about the industry. Contact him at thespider@revenuetoday.com or by phone at 415-732-7456. If he uses one of your items in his column, he’ll send you some cool Revenue swag.

You can also share your secrets for great partnerships with me.
